We are part of the Association of Independent Clubs which means your Membership can also be used in other venues up and down the country - see the AIC website for further information

The club offers different Membership rates depending on age (see below).

If you would like to become a Member then print off and complete the downloadable Membership Application form above and bring this into the club during our opening times with your payment.

If you would like to come down and have a look around first then please come in during our opening times, we would be more than happy to see you

The Club Membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March

Standard Rate

£35

Senior & Under 30's Rate

£28

This is defined by those that are over 30 years old but under 66 years of age as at 31st March 2025.

For 2025 membership this cost applies to anyone born after 1st April 1959 to 1st April 1995

Those already aged 66 and over or are 66 by 31st March in the year of first joining will pay the Senior Rate.

For 2025 membership this cost applies to anyone born before 1st April 1958 and anyone born from 1st April 1995

Hall Hire for Members

We allow members to hire our main hall for their own events or celebrations at competitive rates.

If you would like to hire the main hall for your event please print off and complete the Hall Hire form (Link below to open the document) and pop into the club to discuss your hire needs with a Duty Manager

We have had a few members & non members ask similar questions so to help everyone we have added this Questions and Answers section which we hope clears up some of the frequent queries we get - of course, if an answer isn't here then please use the Contact Us form below to ask us and we will respond to you as soon as we can and update this page for the benefit of others in the future.

Question : Can I hire the Main Hall for a Private Event if I'm not a Member?

Answer : No, Hiring the Main Hall is an option we only allow to current Members, If non-members wish to hire the Main Hall for a private event then they can become a member first and then apply to hire the hall.
The relevant joining fees and application form can be found above on this page.

Question : How many Guests can a Member sign in?

Answer : Each Member can sign in up to a maximum of two guests.

Question : How much does it cost to sign in a Guest Mid-week?

Answer : It costs £1 to sign in a guest Mid-week (Monday to Friday unless there's an Event on the Friday where the cost would be £3 but this would be advertised on the actual Event)

Question : How much does it cost to sign in a Guest on a Saturday night when live Entertainment is on?

Answer : It costs £3 to sign in a guest on a Saturday night when live Entertainment is on.

Question : If I'm interested in joining (Current Non Member) can I come down and have a look around without having to pay to sign In?

Answer : Yes - The Duty Managers have some discretion, a non member may ask to come into the Club and have a look around as a precursor to joining and they may ask to have a drink while there

Question : I'm a current Member of another club that is part of the Association Of Independent Clubs (aic), Can I come into your club?

Answer : Yes - On production of a valid Membership card from your 'Home' club which is also part of the Association Of Independent Clubs, we would allow you to come in.

Question : If I have signed in guests can they stay in the club if I leave before them?

Answer : No - Your guests must leave the club when you do, they are not allowed to stay beyond your leaving time.

Question : How much is it to Join, I'm 70 years old?

Question : As a Member, How much does it cost to hire the Main Hall on a Friday night?

Answer : The current cost (2024) to hire the Main Hall on a Friday night is £150
